Sewing
David gave me serger for my birthday, and I've finally had a chance to learn how to use it. I've had some scrap material that I decided to use to make a dress for Bridget. That little girl is really long, and grows out of her dresses so quickly. So this is what I made. Like usual, I went pattern free. I really hate using patterns because it usually looks bad and doesn't fit.
Anyway, when I showed Bridget the finished product, she told me that it didn't look good. Apparently she doesn't like the bows on the shoulders. She gets to wear it anyway.

little kids are funny, they don't mince words. I think it looks great! and Bridget might change her mind.
Also, I was just thinking about my sewing machine TODAY...I should have known you were invading my thoughts again. someday I will sew things too.
I love the bows. I think it turned out great. How do you like your serger? I keep seeing things online that are a billion times easier with a serger (i.e. most clothing) and it makes me want one, but I never know if I'll actually use it as much as I think I would. I hope you like yours!
Congrats for mastering your serger. I wanted to have one all those years that I sewed for you kids, but oh well, you didn't go naked.
