The other night I was closing the curtains for the evening and found this little guy hopping around our laundry room. I have no idea where he came from, because the irrigation canals have been dry for weeks, and I don't know how he got in our house. In any case, there he was and the kids were ecstatic. Jacob wanted to keep it as a pet, but I told him we wouldn't be able to find enough bugs in the winter time for it. We took it to the river the next day.

I don't care for fingernail polish, but I have a bottle that I bought a year ago. I used it to paint pink on some cars for Bridget last year when Jacob refused to share his cars with her. We were rounding up the cars the other day, and Jacob wanted me to repaint the fingernail polish on Bridget's cars for her since it was flaking off. When I brought it out, Bridget thought it was something to eat. I had to paint one of her fingernails to show her exactly what it was for, and then of course, one was not enough. Jacob thought that was pretty exciting, and insisted on all 10 of his fingers being painted as well, along with 5 of his toes.

Jacob drew the face on his pumpkin all by himself this year. I don't know if you can see it, but there is one ginormous tooth on the bottom. I love this pumpkin.

David didn't want to namby-pamby around with kitchen knives, so he brought out the power tools. That is a reciprocating saw, if you're wondering.

Looks like some serious pumpkins. I love Jacobs pumpkin face. And I love the idea of carving them with power tools. I inevitably think carving them will be easier than it is. Power tools might make that a reality.
Hahahaha!
I like the little waiting hands in the background of the frog picture. Also, powertools seem to make everything better.
I just had to comment on the nails, and I wish I was proficient enough to attach a picture. Tell the kids mine are dark purple right now and the color is called "Grape Adventure".
