Taking it away

I made the mistake of giving Bridget a pacifier when she was a baby, and have regretted it ever since. It really interfered with my milk supply for one thing, and now I am faced with the daunting challenge of taking it away. I guess we have to learn the hard way sometimes. In any case, I'm looking for advice on how to do this. Any suggestions?

You could put something nasty on the pacifier so she hates it :)

I had a friend who kept cutting the nipple smaller and smaller until she couldn't keep it in her mouth any more. Then she decided it wasn't worth it to suck on it.

Good luck! When we took Mckenzie's away she learned how to climb out of the crib at night and it was the start of hard bedtimes...which still continue!

Andrea had the "binky fairy" come to her little girl. The fairy took the binky and left a surprise.

Just don't take it away. Instead, get her a special pacifier with her name on it in big bold letters. That way everyone will learn her name really fast on her first day of school. Win-win situation!
