I don't know why the yellow and yellow-green paint shows up so brilliantly on the photos, but I promise it doesn't look that gaudy in reality. Also, I don't really like the way this artist that I am studying paints deciduous trees up close. I'm going to have to try some different things I think.

Tracie. I would like to commission you to teach me how to do trees. I don't care if you teach me the way you don't like or if you teach me some other method. I love trees and you have no idea how happy I would be if I could draw/paint them successfully.
And Anne is so cute! Your other kids are too, of course. :D
We LOVE boxes around here too! I can't believe Anne is already three months old. I really can see some similarities between her and Lincoln. :) Love the painting! You are very talented!
