I finally found time

It's been months since I've had a chance to break out my paints. I finally found a few minutes here and there to work on it. The kids love to paint with me, and if you're wondering what I did with Anne, just know that yes, it is possible to paint with one hand while bouncing a baby with the other.

Another study. I learn so much from doing these. They're fun.

Wow! How long did it take you to paint that? It looks great!

Nice tree shapes. I am always attracted to tree shapes, but I'm not good at drawing or painting them. Glad you got to get some painting done!

Sweet! I just bought paint. I'm excited to get started. I have a friend helping me. Any tips?

Heather, the only tip I really have is to be patient with yourself. I often remind myself that I have to start somewhere, when I produce something that looks like 8th grade art.

Are you still doing some kind of "class"?

Heather, no I've never done a class. I bought some painting books by Jerry Yarnell, and also watch his show online whenever I get a chance. It's probably not as good as having a teacher right there, but I kind of like the self-directed approach since I'm so busy with the kids.
