Snow study

This is the latest study. I thought I had better get the snow one out of the way since I knew I wouldn't be able to make myself paint snow during the spring or summer. I included 2 photos this time because whenever I do a close-up, the colors look odd.

lookin' good Tracie. I know what you mean. I have a painting of snow that my mom gave me and although I really like the painting I can't bring myself to hang it up. I don't want to look at anymore snow in the winter and in the summer...well, why would I want to look at snow?

Great composition and balance in you latest study. Hope you are going to enter some of your works in your county fair.

I think Dad could probably explain why the colors look off on close-ups. Something to do with white-balance or something.
But I think I would rather hear a "Molly Explanation"

finally, someone asks the RIGHT person. It is really quite simple and can be explained using the example of the nature of sub-atomic particles in measured and unmeasured states; and I would be happy to tell you about it, but I need to go defrost my freezer first.

p.s. your painting is fantastic Tracie!
