Artistic Endeavors

I was changing Bridget's diaper when I heard some strange noises coming out of the kitchen. This is what I found. Jacob told me he was making a snowman. Who knew flour was so versatile?

Office Remodel

We started on the office. David Added recessed lighting, mini blinds, and outlets. He's building a desk that will go against the wall, but it's not finished yet. The outlets are for phone, internet, power, and stereo jacks. It looks a little funny now, but it will work when we have the desk built.

Bald Spot

Well, we woke up this morning and I discovered a bald spot on Bridget's head. Poor girl! This happened to Jacob too when he was a couple of weeks old. I washed his hair, and much to my surprise, half of his hair came off! I'm going to give Bridget a bath today, so at least I'll be prepared this time. Maybe I'll have to put a hat on her until it grows back.

Bridget

She's finally here! We've named her Bridget Marilyn White, and she was born on Friday the 23rd. She weighed 7lbs 14oz, and was 20 inches long.

Trying to go into Labor

In an effort to get as much done as we possibly can before the baby comes, we've been working like maniacs. Our neighbors let us use their mini rototiller to till up the garden, but there was so much grass in it that we had to pre-dig it by hand with shovels. And yes, I was digging too at one week from my due date. We got the entire garden dug, tilled, and planted, and some of the flower beds as well. For all of the work we've been doing, it hasn't done anything for getting the baby sooner. Maybe I should try jumping jacks or dance aerobics.

Laundry Room Done

We finished painting the laundry room yesterday, and now we're done except for the flooring, which we won't do for a while. We put the washer and dryer in the same space, which makes laundry a lot easier. There's can lights which give me a lot of light compared with the one sad bulb dangling from the ceiling that used to be there.

I forgot to take pictures of what it looked like before we started, but it used to be an old back porch, and you could still see the old yellow siding that the house used to be sheathed in. There was also an old metal rail around the washer instead of the nice wall that David built.

It is now officially the nicest room in our house. We're excited to keep moving and make the rest of our house better!
